Natural cosmetics

What is natural cosmetics? In brief, it is a type of skin and hair products based on plant extracts, processed according to environmentally friendly methods. Within the large family of natural cosmetics, there are then further distinctions between organic cosmetics, vegan cosmetics and cruelty free cosmetics, all requirements that Fruttonero products meet excellently thanks to the use of 100% pure raw materials certified by AIAB (Italian Association for Organic Agriculture) and vegan quality. The vegetable oils and butters, for example, are extracted by hand through ancient techniques handed down from generation to generation in the countries from which they originate. But let's go in order.

Natural organic cosmetics: what is it

An organic cosmetic is defined as a product that contains plant ingredients from organic farming. But that is not enough: to be sure you are using an organic cosmetic, you should check the certification. This is a sticker placed on the packaging that certifies the fact that the raw materials come from organic farming. Fruttonero skin and hair products are certified by ICEA, a consortium that checks that the production chain is conducted with respect for people and the environment, protecting the dignity of workers and the rights of consumers.

Sustainability, a cardinal principle of organic cosmetics

By virtue of the focus on ethics, another chapter of natural cosmetics opens up, namely sustainability: the entire "life cycle" of an organic cosmetic is environmentally friendly, from birth to consumption. First, it is produced through nature-friendly processing, and then they have recycled and recyclable packaging.
The plant ingredients in Fruttonero products follow mechanical extraction processes that can preserve all the natural active ingredients and preserve them in the final cosmetic. All chemical extraction methods that can leave toxic and harmful residues are excluded.

Natural cosmetics: how to understand it?

How to understand that is a cosmetic is natural? Through theINCI(International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients), i.e., the international nomenclature of cosmetic ingredients, which is required by law at the European level.
All natural ingredients are described with the scientific name in Latin and with the English wording in parentheses: for example Citrus medica limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil indicates the essential oil of Lemon as well as the most common vegetable oils are easily recognizable especially by the English name for example Jojoba Oil.

Vegan and cruelty free cosmetics

What does vegan and cruelty free cosmetic mean instead? Its key feature is that it contains no naturally derived ingredients, such as: milk, honey, beeswax, propolis, insect shells or crustacean shells. It is yet another way to respect the Planet with a capital P, a principle that Fruttonero believes in strongly, as it uses only plant-based ingredients. A few examples? The Macademia Oil contained in the anti-frizz detangling conditioner in the Hair Line; the plant extracts of Kigelia africana, Quillaia Saponaria and Argan in the Anti Age Line; and the pure oils in the Pure Line (argan, camellia, hemp), to name a few.
